According to money-saving site Dan’s Deals they explain that the reseller was able to make some small amount of profit on the phones, which it split with the customers who had ordered the devices. The arrangements are against Google’s terms of service because Google states that customers “may only purchase Devices for your personal use [and] may not commercially resell any Device” When Google came to know about such people they took no time to block their Google account. As reported by Dan’s Deals, several users posted on their forum that they can’t access their accounts from past few days. Around 200 users were denied to use any Google services which include Google Photos, Gmail, Documents, Google Drive etc. A User also reported that the account suspension was not only limited to a single account, he was also locked out from the other Gmail account that he used for password recovery. The owner of Dan’s Deals, Dan Eleff thinks that it’s a “heavy-handed” act by google, though, he doesn’t defend the policy violation by people. Dan Eleff said “it’s the 21st-century version of losing priceless mementos in a house fire” Dan Eleff in a further update said that Google has reinstated the suspended accounts.
